To make planning your trip easier, we've identified 7 regions based on the most popular nearby towns.
North East - Barcelona
Barcelona is a vibrant city that offers a unique blend of culture, history, and modernity. From the stunning architecture of Gaudi to the delicious local cuisine, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Don't miss out on the opportunity to experience this amazing city for yourself!
Camiral
A visit to this area of Spain is a must for any golfer as there are a number of excellent courses that all offer thoughtful design in great surroundings. The various designers have created excellent challenges that are usually in superb condition due to the cooler northern climate. The best of these has to be the Stadium course at Camiral (originally called the Green course at PGA de Catalunya), ranked in Europe's Top 100 ever since it opened at the end of 1998.
Emporada
In 1989 a group of Catalan businessmen based in the Baix Emporda got together through their love of golf and decided to construct a top-quality venue. They purchased 125 hectares of land situated fairly centrally in the Costa Brava near the village of Gualta and within 2 years the first nine holes were open for play. The group put their faith for the design of the Emporda course in the hands of the well-known and trusted Texan architect Robert von Haage.
Real El Prat
The Real Club de Golf El Prat was established in 1954 and for almost half a century the members played on a course designed by Javier Arana beside the airport to the south of Barcelona city centre. The Spanish Open was last held there in 1999 and Jarmo Sandelin won it.
